I am a Junior Power Lineman of a local Electric Utility & was use to buying 300+ dollar boots for pole climbing, since you need the comfort of a sturdy but comfortable/steel shanked boot, when you are up in the air on a wooden pole for periods of 2-12 hours at times. I happened to stumble upon a GREAT looking pair of Branson Roper Boots by Rocky, noticed they were steel shanked & thought to my self, wow! look at the prize & the looks of these boots! I purchased them online, got them in the mail, tried them on, went out to dinner with my wife & not only did I get 3 compliments from 3 different people at the restaurant where we ate at, but the comfort was unbelievably great, specially coming from a "new" pair of boots that have not been broken in. I had originally purchased these Branson Roper Boots by Rocky for work & as much as I did not want to get them dirty or wear them at work, they were so affortable, that I had to put them through a tough work day test the following morning & in the very near future, buy me another set for my every day and going out to dinner Wear. Busy day at work that day & got notified that morning that we were going to be working a straight 32 hour shift because of emergency conditions, so i thought to my self, this has got to be the ultimate test on any type of boots which I have tested in the past, but these boots are not over 300 dollars. Well, I climbed a total of 5 wood poles that day & was up in the air for many hours, walked & ran with heavy equiptment all over the different terrain job sites. Not only were my feet dry for once in the long 32 hour working shift, but my feet were NOT sore, hot or cold, thanks to the awesome built, stability & steel shanked Branson Roper Boots by Rocky. These boots deserve to be in a magazine of their own or on the main page of the newspaper. Boots made by Rocky will surely & definitely put the work boot competitors out of business once every working man or men that are after style & comfort like my self.
