Comments about Quantum Triax Spinning Combo, 6'6", Medium:
I purchased two of these combos. One worked fine, but the other had a screw come loose on the bail during the second day of use. Strangely, I had some difficulty casting with this combo and I'm very experienced with a spinning reel. The rod I selected was medium and I probably should have chosen medium heavy. Caught over 30 bass during a 5 day vacation, so not all bad. Gander was very good about replacing the defective reel.

Comments about Quantum Triax Spinning Combo, 6'6", Medium:
The bail wire came off the non-release end the first day out. Since I was 11 hours from home with only 1 reel, I epoxied it back in and went on with life. It held up the rest of the week. I liked the feel of the combo, but probably will stay away from Quantum next time.

Comments about Quantum Triax Spinning Combo, 6'6", Medium:
I bought two of these last spring from Gander Mountain(March 2011)and couldn't be more disappointed. The reel broke the first use and the pole broke just above the 2nd loop from the top later in the summer on a small northern. The other one is holding up fine but I don't have much faith it will make it through a second summer. I never have returned a fishing pole in my life so I didn't take very good care of the receipt. I will next time!!

Comments about Quantum Triax Spinning Combo, 6'6", Medium:
I bought this combo to keep at my in-laws who live in Florida. They have a 2+ acre pond in their back yard that produces 6 pounders and this combo works well. The rod is not very stiff, so open-hooked lures work best Ie... Spinner baits/Rapalas. For under $60, it is worth it.

I bought this pole thinking that it was going to be a great buy... I lined it with fluorocarbon line and the SAME day that I buy it... it SNAPS right BELOW the first loop... How does this happen... poor quality...

This is a nice combo with lighter line in clear water using plastics. The rod has great smooth casting and sensitivity.
