Comments about Proline Quick-Start Handle with Rope:
I love this rope! My family just replaced theirs with this new one after 10+ years of use. After using it, I ordered one for myself. I have been using this style rope since I first started slalom skiing because it helps me keep the ski centered until I get out of the water. It has a nice grip and is made well.

Comments about Proline Quick-Start Handle with Rope:
this is the second one i've owned over the years. rope tends to stretch after a season or two of use. handle also gives out after a year or so but is extremely comfortable before this happens. otherwise it is a great rope for the price

Q:
Once you are up and skiing, does this rope work like a normal rope or can you even tell a difference?Asked on 2/26/2011 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
The purpose of this rope is to assist you up and out of a deep water start by gradually easing the tip of the ski down until you are standing. It is a standard slalom ski rope.Answered on 3/7/2011 by Justin from Overton'sA:
Yes, it works like a normal rope and unless you are a very advanced skier you won't be able to tell the difference while you ski.Answered on 6/16/2011 by carol the skier from Boulder CO

Can this rope be shorten to other lengths? Does it have links to take out?

Q:
can you put the slalom ski in the v, to help keep ski straight for easier starts?Asked on 6/28/2009 by e from sunapee, nh2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Absolutely, it will help keep the ski straight as you are coming up out of the water. This is a great idea and makes it much easier.Answered on 7/7/2009 by The Crew from OvertonsA:
I have this rope. You simply put your ski in the bridle before the start and forget about it. If you wobble to one side it helps you correct and stay straight. As you rise out of the water the bridle rises off the ski automatically, no extra action needed on the skier's part.Answered on 7/15/2009 by Dave from Virginia

Is this rope sectionalized or continuous?Asked on 6/2/2009 by Matt from Youngstown, OH1 answer

This handle comes with a float and it will float.Answered on 5/29/2009 by Ike from OvertonsA:
I have this rope. There is a float attached to the cross piece to keep the handle afloat. You can see this in the picture. If that float comes off, as mine did, the handle will no longer float. I've considered injecting the handle with foam, but have not. Its a minor annoyance, the handle/bridle works great for slalom starts.Answered on 7/15/2009 by Dave from Virginia
