Q:The battery manufacturer (Deka) recommends "never" leaving a trickle charger on the battery over 48 hours. The specs on the product above state it can be left on batteries indefinitely. Which is correct?

A:Well the thing about pro mariner chargers and maintainers is one you get into the larger size units, they actually switch themselves off or maintain mode and are technically not charging the unit. I would not "always" have my battery actually charging either. I would want something that flipped off or into maintain mode.Answered on 12/4/2009 by Bryant from Tech
