This Tent We purchased for our 21 ft Sun tracker pontoon last year, and we love it so much we bought another one in another color so we can switch off and also have one for storage. We sleep on Lakes all over Oregon and we absolutely love it! We just got back from a 5 day camping trip using it, and it was wonderful. The first initial setup took about 1 1/2 hours, and after that it takes no longer than 5 to 7 minutes to setup every time, and take down is the same. It fits perfectly underneath the bimini tops with room to spare. People comment to us every single time we go out anywhere, they all think it is the most awesome setup they have ever seen, and we just say thanks; We bought it at Overtons! It has a lot of room inside, we have an air mattress we blow up and put between the two couches in the front, lay out our sleeping bags & pillows and it makes into a queen size bed, or we can just setup the tent and put our table inside and play games at night to keep away from bugs and stay away from the cold. When we wake up early in the morning one of my favorite things to do is open up the extra large window that is in the front of this tent, and just look across the lake at the boats coming on to the water after we have had a restful night sleep. Living in Oregon we have stayed on some lakes at the end of summer that are pretty cold and windy at night, and we stay very warm and it holds up terrific in the wind. I would recommend this tent to anyone who has a pontoon watercraft. You can turn your pontoon into a houseboat in a matter of minutes. [...] Thanks for such a unique and awesome product!!

It would be better to have two doors so if your coming in thru the front or from in the seating area you have a tru way.
The window is really not required if you added a door at each end. Too hard to crawl under each time to get in from the front. also cheap screws, go to tork lock instead for phillips head so they don't ring out so easily.

Said it was universal, however, did not fit our boat, and the poles would not stay in the holes. Had to send it back. Gander Mountain was extremely cooperative with me getting a refund. Would recommend buying from them.

the snaps pull through easily, had to buy heavy duty replacements. the center pole has a bad fit, needs a full length pull through. most pontoons have a door in the front. this needs a zipper door in the front. would be more usefull than the window. vVv.

This is a very cool enclosure. My pontoon is 24' so it doesn't fit like in the picture but we tweaked it and it's fine. We did notice several little dots of sunshine coming in when we set it up so we bought some seam sealer to put on all the places that it is sewn together and when we get that done we will get some of the tent waterproofing spray and hopefully that will take care of the issue. It looks really cute on the boat and since we have a large bimini, it comes up to the enclosure for good coverage. All in all I would recommend it.

Q:
I have a 24' pontoon boat that the railings get shorter as they go to the front of the boat. I also have no seating up there, its all open. I want a product that we can put up and make a "tent" so we could sleep on the boat at the boat club and not get eaten alive by bugs and not get all wet. Do you think this would work on my boat because of how different it is? Do you think bugs would get in VERY easily?Asked on 6/30/2012 by Poohdabar from Peru, IL0 answers
Q:
How would this work if you do not have seating in the front. I have an open pontoon about 24' long. Am looking for a tent structure that we can sleep on the boat with. Also, how far does the tent go from front to back? Will it fit if I do not have the same size railing all the way around? My railing goes down as you go to the front of the boat.Asked on 6/19/2012 by Poohdabar from Illinois0 answers

Q:
Does the front door go all the way down to the floor? If so does it attach to the floor or just hang?Asked on 5/16/2011 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
I call it the rear door. It goes all the way to the floor. It doesn't attach to the floor but the canvas on either side of the door attaches to the back of the seating at the bottom with the provided snaps which you attach where you want. You don't want to attach to the floor where they will get stepped on. The door itself has full length zippers on each side so when the door is zipped down it stays closed completely.Answered on 8/7/2011 by Piece of the Redies from Frederika, IA.

Q:
is their 3 overhead rib's? also is it possible to open up the bow end and put in a zipper so access to front deck is possible?Asked on 3/18/2010 by Anonymous from Winoa, MN on the Mississippi1 answer

A:
There are three overhead ribs and one smaller center rib crossways to tie all three together. Also many velcro straps to keep all the ribs in place. There are also two wind ties in case it gets bad at night. Get the snap replacement kit with pliers when you order just in case one or two snaps break.Answered on 5/4/2010 by Pav from Johnstown, Pa
