Comments about Shademate Pontoon Bimini Top Fittings - 1-1/4" x 36" Rear Strut With Trailering Bracket:
I have a 2010 party barge pontoon boat. The bimini top in it's trailering position was too high, frequently catching tree limbs. If you lower the top all the way down, it would rest on the seats which caused depressions that I feared would damage the seats. I added the short leg of this part to my bimini so that it trailers in a much lower position and no longer rests on my seats.
Its a good quality item, but the photo and description are a little missleading, as I expected the part to have internal spring loaded pins. The item I received had standard locking pins attached to the poles by a short cable. This wasn't a big deal for me, but not what I was expecting.

Knocked my light off twice. Never have to worry about that again. The best shipping anyone could ask for. Ordered on Monday on the boat on Wednesday. Also very easy to install

Q:
Which fittings go in the ends of these poles that would be used with the pins and screws in my existing bimimi? Like the male ended (I call them) pieces? This is the part I am looking for exactly but need to know what other parts I need to place one order instead of getting it home then having to order the ends after I see which ones it takes. ThanksAsked on 7/29/2012 by Grant from Southern, AR0 answers
