Comments about Plano Airliner Telescoping Rod Tube:
Started flying instead of driving from WI to FL for some shark fishing. Bought most my gear here and the Plano Airline Tube fit 4 x 2pc 8ft rods and 3 x 2pc 5 to 6 foot rods for the trip perfectly. Plus with it being able to be shortened I didnt have to pay a extra fee to check my rods on the plane.

Comments about Plano Airliner Telescoping Rod Tube:
I actually purchased this as a case for my Bose L1 PA Speaker System. It fits perfect and protects it well for local gigs. Gander Mountain has excellent prices [...] Highly recommended.

Comments about Plano Airliner Telescoping Rod Tube:
I bought this rod holder to safely transport my rods and wanted it large enough to hold multiple rods. I inserted the rods and when I tried to close it up one of my rods was broken. So much for protecting them. I am not a happy fisherwoman.

Comments about Plano Airliner Telescoping Rod Tube:
I looked at this in-store before deciding on the Flambeau Bazuka instead. When this Plano is fully extended, it feels flimsy when flexed. While it would be fine for vehicle / boat transport or home storage, I would not trust my expensive rods to an airline luggage conveyor belt. Troublesome to adjust - there is no end opening to show where the rod tip ends, which makes it hard to judge length adjustment of last telescoping section. Also requires removal of last section to remove rods, a pain in the behind.
