Six shielded stainless steel bearings plus infinite anti-reverse bearing. Stainless steel shaft increases corrosion protection and durability. HT-100 washers located underneath the anodized aluminum spool create smooth drag under heavy loads. The Superline Spool gasket keeps line from slipping, eliminating need of mono backing. Techno-balanced rotor ensures smooth retrieves.

          Tne Penn Battle is one of the best buy's on the market for all around fishing . We have several of the Battle series different sizes and use them all with no problems. Great for salt water fishing just hose off with freshwater and ready for your next fishing trip.

            I havew been fishing for a long time, all south florida back water fishing and this reel is one of the best i have ever used!!! Ultra smooth and casts a mile, and the durability of this reel is un matched! as someone who fishes every day and does a couple tournaments buy this reel!!!!

            I bought this reel as a back up for vertical jigging Amber Jack off the coast of NC. Overall I was impressed with the smooth drag and the lack of flex in the reel body under pressure. The only complaint would be the 25lb max drag, would have liked it to have at least the option to get to 35lbs. But overall for the money is a great entry reel for vertical jigging AJs and small Tuna.
