Comments about Pelican Boats Pelican Pursuit 80 Kayak:
I bought the Pelican Pursuit 80 kayak because it is lightweight, easy to carry, fits in my car with the seats down (didn't need to buy a car top carrier), and very inexpensive relative to the other models that are similar to it. Also, kayaks under 9 feet in Minnesota do not need to be licensed which is another plus. I use it on lakes and like the peaceful calm waters. I don't plan on using it on rivers or going out on rough waters. I love this kayak!

I find this kayak very uncomfortable, hard on the back, and not the easiest to row. I am looking for a better more comfortable one to buy now. only good point is that this kayak is easy to carry and put in my car

Comments about Pelican Boats Pelican Pursuit 80 Kayak:
This is a fun lightweight starter boat. Since it is the cheapest model it has a very hard seat and is hard on a adults back also. The good part is it is easy to paddle and lightweight to carry.

Q:
does this kayak have dry storage area?Asked on 7/19/2010 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
No it does not. The only storage it has is basically between your legs, and dont in the foot area. Due to the fixed seat, the rear storage area is inaccessible.Answered on 11/6/2010 by Dustin from Fernandina Beach, Florida

Don't know if you still need an answer, but we bought one for our eight year old grandson and he loves it. Very easy to manuver. We are looking to get the same boat for our six year old granddaughter.Answered on 11/12/2010 by Grandma from Redding
Q:
which paddles do you recommend singel or doubleAsked on 7/4/2010 by nick1936 from fenwick island ,de1 answer
A:
with any kayak I would recommend a kayak paddle as opposed to a canoe paddle or an oar. The double-ended kayak paddle allows for more quick transfer of power from one side of the craft to the other. This allows the kayaker to have more maneuverability and speed.Answered on 3/20/2012 by Billy from Indianapolis, IN
