A:Yes, I have used a battery powered trolling motor. By my recollection when I purchased my boat 3 years ago I was told I could go up to 12 HP. I use a 65 Thrust now. Further I think it works better pulling than pushing.Answered on 8/1/2010 by Tim from Naples, Florida
