Q:Can a small motor be attached to this model?Asked on 7/12/2010 by beannie from nyc
A:Although not recommended, one could attach a "trolling motor" to the canoe being careful to use a small motor that wouldnt over-stress any point on the hull. Many "trolling motors" are designed to clamp-on to the hull. Keep in mind that a deep cycle battery would be necessary to power the motor.Answered on 9/21/2010 by GreatMind from Tennessee
A:I have used a 16 ft canoe with a 3 hp motor with excellent results. You need an outboard motor bracket that mounts across both gunnels behind rear seat. Motor then mounts on bracket that protrudes outside canoe. Works great! Must have some weight up front to keep canoe level.......a person , dog or duffle works.Answered on 2/19/2012 by Roaming wolf from Florence, Or
