The first time I made this, I used half the kit with good results in my smoker. I felt that the snack sticks being smaller pieces of meat took on to much smoke. I do like smoked foods so that is why I did them in the smoker. The second time I made this kit I used the other half of the kit and used hi-temp chedder cheese, 1 1/4 lbs of cheese for 12.5 lbs of 80 percent venison to 20 percent pork fat/pork meat. This time I made it in the oven following the directions on the bag, they taste unbelievable great.
