The seats look great, unable to test them out due to the season. I purchased a lesser quality seat from Overton a few years ago and they heldup very well considering they were used for 8 to 12 hours 40 times a year for three years. I expect these will do the same or even exceed my wishes. These are better constructed and more padded. All products I have purchased through Overton have preformed very well.

Double-stitching sounded attractive in the ad, but it wasn't done very well. Stitch lines were not straight, smooth, or even. I bought 2 seats and the quality and construction was extremely inconsistent between them. Poor upholstery resulted in pockets/bubbbles (raised loose spots in the vinyl). Both the vinyl cover and trim strips were VERY POORLY attached to the base (staples blown clear through the vinyl, missing staples, staples through the OUTSIDE of the trim, staples which missed the base, etc)so I had to restaple it with stainless Arrow T50s. Mounting holes were prodived in several patterns, one of which matched what I had, so it was easy to mount but I had to find and provide my own screws because the mounting holes were much larger diameter than the factory originals. Overall, these are kinda-sorta okay for my not-so-new fishing/work boat, but I do slightly regret my purchase decision. I feel I definitely should have gotten something nicer.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Mid-Back Folding Seat:
Initially, I took one of the original seats to be recovered by a local shop. The estimate seemed quite high so I visited another shop to discover that repairing a seat cushion may not be the best choice...
I then used the internet to search Overton's and found replace seats, NEW, in perhaps better quality for much less than the estimate for a repair...

Comments about Overton's Overton's Mid-Back Folding Seat:
While these seats are not yet installed, so I can't speak to the function, they do appear to be of high quality materials and beautiful colors.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Mid-Back Folding Seat:
These were replacement seats on a used Bay boat. As with all Overton produts, the selection is excellent; price is competitive; delivery service is prompt; and above all, Overtons makes an individual feel that they are getting personalized attention.

Comments about Overton's Overton's Mid-Back Folding Seat:
Got them quick, look good, install easy, seatback may be a little lightly built at top edge of attach bracket, we'll see, tiedown strap is extra long.

Q:
I have a 12 foot plastic row boat with bench seats. What would i need to mount one of these to each bench?Asked on 7/12/2011 by Jim from Amityville, NY1 answer
A:
You need to buy a Boat Seat Clamp, which fits over bench seats (preferably with a swivel so you can turn to each side and fish) as seen here: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Wise-Boat-Seat-Clamp-With-Swivel&i=73328&aID=601C7E&merchID=4006Answered on 8/23/2012 by Lungmanjack from Holt, MI
Q:
dose it come with pedistal and swivilAsked on 6/16/2011 by Chuck from Kona Hawaii1 answer
A:
I'm sure you know by now, since your question was posted over a year ago, but for the sake of others reading this: NO. You will need to buy a pedestal and mounting kit separately. There are numerous options (widely ranging in cost)...such as Springfield Systems, EEz-In systems, and Swivl-Eze Lock 'N Pin, which is what I purchased.Answered on 8/23/2012 by Lungmanjack from Holt, MI
