Q:I read that this product is good for children up to 30lbs. At what weight would be okay to start using the product? How little of a baby would be safe, and fit well, in this vest?Asked on 4/7/2014 by Parsionie from Michigan
A:Our less than 30 lb. infant vests are designed to fit all infants. However, because there is such a wide range of shapes and sizes of infants, it is always best to try the vest on the child, confirm that it is comfortable and adjusts correctly. As far as when it is alright to start using the vest, that would be at the parents discretion and if on watercraft, state law would require the use of one at all times.Answered on 4/8/2014 by Product Expert from Overton's
Q:Will this product turn the baby onto his back and keep him from rolling over onto his side or front?Asked on 12/25/2013 by Will
A:The baby safe product is rated as a Type II PFD, which is our near-shore buoyant vest. It is intended for children up to 30 lbs. and designed to turn most unconscious wearers face-up in the water. It features foam panels in the front of the vest and none in the back to accomplish this.Answered on 12/31/2013 by Anonymous
