      not what I ordered

Comments about Overton's Overton's 1,600-lb. Dual Drive Marine Trailer Winch With 20' Strap:

I was pleased with the quality of the winch out of the box. Unfortunately, the mounting bolt pattern on the winch did not match the description on the box it came in, nor what was posted in the online catalog. On my trailer, drilling the required new hole is no minor job, as the bolt hole goes through both sides of a box bean and a heavy bracket. I returned the item. Had the hole pattern been as advertised, I would have been a happy customer.

Comments about Overton's Overton's 1,600-lb. Dual Drive Marine Trailer Winch With 20' Strap:

Quality build, Dual drive pulls the strap absolutely in line with the spool---no torquing sideways. Ratchet paul is strong and large enough to finger even with winter gloves on.

Couldn't be happier with this product

The winch arrived in a timely manner. the price was very competitive, and I appreciated not having to pay the all too frequent "processing and handling?" charges. It was a perfect fit replacing my old trailer winch.

Everything is good about this winch except you cant crank down too hard on it. Its lightweight, easy to install, and durable. The bad thing is you cant really put too much pressure on it because it will literally bend the gears.

I have a 1971 14ft MFG. You would think a 1600lb winch would handle it now problem. The teeth are made of cast steel. Got home and the boat was about 5 inches off the bow stop because a few teeth or two were ground off. Don't do it.
