Q:can this be installed on an aluminum boat? is it truly installed on the outside of hull??Asked on 4/19/2015 by tom from usa
Yes. It can be installed on all types of boats and on the outside of the hull. It is very important to seal around ALL of the holes to prevent any water from entering the boat.

Q:I don't understand how when you screw this in how it would allow water to go out but not come in,I had one of these for years and never had the courage to install it.Asked on 10/27/2014 by Tiger from Barbados
A:This drain fitting and plug has a built in scupper so if you forget to install the drain plug, or choose to use it as a scupper, it will let the water out of the bilge but not allow water to enter. If you look closely at the picture on the web you can see the scupper ball inside the part that mounts to the boat.Answered on 10/28/2014 by Product Expert from Overtons
