Q:Is that half inch the maximum diameter of the brass cap end?
Hard to believe that with a wrench hex (flats) and with the crimped fitting as well that the diameter is only one half inch.Asked on 10/6/2009 by Bodacious4u from Great White North
A:No, the thread is 1/2 inch in diameter x 20.Answered on 10/9/2009 by Bryant C from Tech Department
Q:What is the diameter of the hose end (Brass) so I can measure my drain hole before ordering. Thank you.Asked on 9/16/2009 by Portagedreams from Port Clinton, Ohio
A:1/2 inch.Answered on 9/18/2009 by Bryant C from Tech Department
A:Be advised that 1/2" is the diameter of the threaded connection, NOT the diameter of the brass coupling that you would want to run through your bilge drain hole to drain the oil while on a trailer. The actual diameter of the crimped brass is over 3/4". I'm returning mine for this reason - can't fit the oil drain hose though my 3/4" drain plug in the stern.Answered on 10/5/2011 by TEC from Maple Grove, MN
Q:What is the method for opening the far end when draining the oil?Asked on 8/26/2009 by daviddwood from Grass Valley, CA
A:There is a cap at the end that you will unscrew to let the oil drain out.Answered on 9/15/2009 by Bryant C from Tech Department
