This is my first "high end" life jacket purchase. I love the style, colors and materials. I am a petite woman and selected a small based on the sizing guidelines. To my dismay I could hardly zip it up or breathe when I first tried it on. With a little gentle stretching and time wearing it around the house, it was perfect for the water a few days later. It was a great feeling to ski in a vest that did not shift, flap or float above my head when in the water. I am really happy with this vest so far and hope that I did purchase the correct size for my safety.

Life jacket runs very small. I am 105 lbs 5'1" and first ordered the adult size 4. I saw that the other review said it ran small so I got a 4 versus a 2, which is what I wear in clothing. I couldnt even come close to zipping the 4. I returned and then ordered the Adult size 6. It is still pretty snug. I would have returned it for a size 8 but didnt want to pay for shipping again. My [$] dollar life jacket was starting to get expensive. I would recommend ordering it in a size or 2 bigger than you normally wear in clothing.

Comments about O'Neill O'Neill Women's Siren LS Neoprene Vest:
I'm returning this vest because only after I tried it on did I realized it was USCG approved. It is way too bulky for compitition skiing. I'm sure it would be a great vest for public water. The arm holes have plenty of room for great flexibility. I'm 5'4", 115 lbs, 34" top. I ordered size 6 but found it way too tight. If I order another O'Neill vest I'll be sure to order an 8.

Comments about O'Neill O'Neill Women's Siren LS Neoprene Vest:
Sorry to say I'm returning this item. It was way too small and bulky for a comfortable waterski vest. I'm 5'4", 115 lbs, and 34" bust. I was afraid when I purchased the size 6 it was going to be too big. Far from it! I could barely get it zipped up. I like my equipment to fit snug but this would never work even if stretched w/ use. The design is also very high waisted.

I found this jacket fit smaller than its specified size, and had to give it to someone smaller. She likes the lumbar support.

Comments about O'Neill O'Neill Women's Siren LS Neoprene Vest:
One of the most becoming vests for women; however, I am a solid size 6, so I ordered a 6. [...]vest way, way small. [...] order an 8 - again still much too small. [...] Will not take another chance. Would have loved to find that it fit! [...]Would fit a teen or pre-teen.

Q:
How do I choose the size of this vest? what it is based on as far as clothing, bust size etc.Asked on 9/12/2011 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
In my experience, every manufacturer sizes run differently. O'Neills tend to run small. Best bet is to try some on at a store and then order online.Answered on 3/9/2012 by D3 Skier from Oregon
Q:
How do they measure the women's sizesAsked on 9/8/2011 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
Good question! From what I can tell, it's safest to use the chest size on the O'Neill chart when ordering lifevests. If you go by the size you usualy wear chances are the product will be too small.Answered on 3/9/2012 by D3 Skier from Oregon
