Stiffness is maintained through the sides of the forebody to take unnecessary weight out of the largest area. The 1/4" thick tip area retains maximum energy throughout a turn. At 0.800" thick, the Elite creates very little drag when the ski is on edge. The Extended Pivot Point towards the rear allows you to decide how aggressive you want the edge change to be.
