          I was skeptical of this product because of the high magnification zoom with these binoculars, even though Nikon ususally means good quality. I am not at all disappointed. The lenses are very high quality. The zoom is amazing. I have not encountered a situation where the light was low enough to be a problem. They are standard sized binoculars, but they are extremely light for the size. So far the primary use has been birding, which has been fantastic. You can find the bird at a lower magnification, zoom in, and fine tune the focus; and get an excellent view. They are not rugged enough to take a serious beating such as military use, but for my use they are perfect.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
