Q:How can these trim tabs be installed without drilling through the hull as advertised?
Also, if they adjust themselves, what happens if one fails and pushed the boat to one side. Is there a release mechanism?Asked on 4/23/2015 by Ron from St. Petersburg, FL
Nauticus does not advertise no through hull drilling but the trim tabs are screwed to the hull and they are not bolted through the hull. If one of the actuators fail, then the boat will ride with a slight lean and you may have to remove the other actuator until you can replace the broken unit. No. There is not a release mechanism between the actuator and the trim tab.
