I have used the heater while ice fishing in a portable ice shelter and doing working in my unheated garage. It is so much better than the mr. heater that sat on top of the propane cylinder. It is so much safer. 3 different heat settings, a fan, and a pilot light. Also 3 options for gas hook ups. furthermore it was reasonably priced. Honestly, I'm not sure how else to improve this great product.

We used the Big Buddy Heater to heat our closed in patio for a Easter dinner with 20 people. It was a cool day and we turned it on about an hour be fore dinner was served on high. Then turned it down to medium and it worked perfect. It kept the patio comfortable. Two of the guests were 97 year old parents. It made fore a enjoyable dinner.

Comments about Mr. Heater BIG Buddy Indoor Safe Propane Heater:
I have 3 of these heaters. Saved my home from a freeze up 5 winters ago during an ice storm in Feb with no power for 4 days and -10 temps. Thank You Mr. Heater !!
Fantastic unit. Anyone who lives in a cold climate should have one for backup heat. Recommend the adapter hose and run off a 20 or 30 pound tank. The 16 oz tanks are fine for ice fishing etc, but not for constant use.

Q:
I SEE THAT IT REQUIRES 5 D CELL BATTERIES OR AN A/C ADAPTER. ARE THOSE ONLY FOR THE BLOWER, AND WILL THE HEAT STILL RADIATE LIKE THE LITTLE BUDDY IF THE BATTERIES FAIL OR RUN DRY?Asked on 12/18/2008 by RADAR from EVANSVILLE, IN4 answers
A:
yes It does work very wellAnswered on 12/25/2008 by 1rhino from central new yorkA:
yes it will still radiateAnswered on 12/27/2008 by a from wiA:
Heats like a champ without the batteries or adapter. The blower does do a great job of spreading the heat. My ice shack isn't insulated so a lot of heat goes out the top the blower really helps to distribute the heat evenly and makes a big difference.Answered on 12/29/2008 by Walley Killer from Medicine Lake, MNA:
I have one batters and ac adapter are only for the fan and it still radiates like the little Buddy and BetterAnswered on 1/11/2009 by Bill from Fulton N.Y.
