Comments about Dock Edge Mooring Snubber, fits 1/2" - 3/4" line:
My dock lines are premium triple braided 5/8" (MFG # 4050-20-00025). I am confident that once I get these snubbers in place they will work great. The snubbers are for 14 - 18 millimeter lines. 3/4" is 19.05 mm so these snubbers are too small for 3/4". 5/8" converts to 15.87 mm and I am worried that because of the difficulty pulling even these through the holes in the snubbers will damage the lines. These are the largest snubbers available on this site or I would go bigger. 5/8" triple braid are a very tight fit for these snubbers.

Comments about Dock Edge Mooring Snubber, fits 1/2" - 3/4" line:
Our new boat is in winter storage. It is bigger than our last boat, and we ordered snubbers when we saw how the docklines were straining with wind and waves.

Comments about Dock Edge Mooring Snubber, fits 1/2" - 3/4" line:
These snubbers are just what you need for peace of mind with your moorage. The marina where my boat is tied up gets wind from all directions. Almost every boat moored here uses these very same snubbers and for good reason, they flat work. Will work with almost any diameter rope, I use 1/2 on all four lines. The best part? They sell for over TWICE as much locally!!! [...]

Comments about Dock Edge Mooring Snubber, fits 1/2" - 3/4" line:
I use four of these to secure my MasterCraft Maristar 215 (@22' long, 4000lbs wakeboard boat) to floating docks on Rough River Lake, KY. My dock gets hit with constant wave activity. These snubbers really helped reduce shock/strain on my cleats and dock. Makes walking on the floating dock safer. The description indicates any line up to 3/4" can be used. That's not really true - you need rope that is 9/16" - 3/4" thick. I highly recommend you use premium dock rope -[$] The premiun braided line also stretches for some give. That's what I'm using - works great!

Comments about Dock Edge Mooring Snubber, fits 1/2" - 3/4" line:
Use three of them on my dock lines--for bow, stern ad mid ship.
Provides slight "cushion of stretchability" to allow for irregular waves, wind gusts, and currents.
Would highly recommend it.

Q:
Would this work for keeping a jet ski away from the dock as it is sitting in the water?Asked on 6/3/2009 by Kaybee from Illinois1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No. This is used on your dock line to add "spring" to the line to take some of the energy and force away from the cleats and line.
You will need something like a mooring whip (item 74601) if you are trying to keep the jetski off the dock without tying off both ends.Answered on 6/4/2009 by Michael from Overtons
