Comments about Moeller Portable Plastic 6-Gallon Fuel Tank:
I use this at local waterways and it's size allows me to refuel and not have to haul the boat out of the water and then launch again after you fill the tank. @ 8lbs per gallon, even when full it is only 50 lbs. Not extremely heavy for most people.

Comments about Moeller Portable Plastic 6-Gallon Fuel Tank:
Like one of the other reviewers, my fuel gauge stopped working as well after the first trip. Turns out the "float" material they used....doesn't....Ok, no biggie....replaced it with a piece of cork. Went to lake this weekend and filled tank up since this is the spare....every time the boat moved, the tank leaked through one of the holes....totally stained my white vinyl seat cushions.Got home and decided to see what was the malfunction...took each cap off one at a time to see where the fuel was escaping...when I put the fill cap on, it twisted the threads right off the tank. Check the fuel gauge and it seemed ok, but when I unscrewed the cap where the line goes in I found the threads half split apart. That explains the leak.....I'll be taking my [$] somewhere else from now on. Moeller, you failed big-time on this one.....

Comments about Moeller Portable Plastic 6-Gallon Fuel Tank:
I have had two of these tanks over the years and the fuel level gauge quits working after a few months. Otherwise, it is a great tank. Easy to fill and vent easy to adjust.

Comments about Moeller Portable Plastic 6-Gallon Fuel Tank:
The other fuel tank I had was difficult to unscrew the gas cap and to open the fuel vent. This product has solved both my problems. It is effortless to unscrew cap and vent.
Not to sure about the fuel gauge yet-need more time with the fuel tank to comment.

This product fit perfectly under the seat of my Boston Whaler Sport 130. The tank was well made and give my boat great range without the worry of gas leaks. Great product!
