Q:how do I install this filter which in and out ports do i useAsked on 9/17/2014 by jack from baytown tx
The filter would need to be installed on your transom or in a battery compartment. The top of the filter kit has two screw holes for attaching the filter to a wall and it also has arrows on the top showing you which way the fuel should flow.

Q:why is this filter only listed for outboard engines onlyAsked on 8/28/2009 by Anonymous from Hightstown NJ
A:The reason is because this filter has a 10 micron filtration rating. Which is lower than what is need for an I/O. They do make one for the I/O. If you would give us a call at 1-800-334-6541.Answered on 9/3/2009 by Chad @ Overton's from Greenville, NC
A:Because the Coast Guard will not allow any fuel system components to be made of plastic on inboard engine boats. This has a plastic base and plastic water bowl.Answered on 7/18/2010 by Uncle Jesse from PA
