Product Description
moeller Utilizing Low Permeation Tank Technology, Moeller fuel tanks are EPA low perm certified and conform to all ABYC, NMMA, and USCG regulations. This technology utilizes a proven nylon solution that's fully compatible with ethanol. The below-deck tanks utilize durable marine-grade, rotationally molded, cross-linked polyethylene plastic that's corrosion and pit resistant. Fill spouts, withdrawal, and vent fittings are molded directly into the shell. Machined aluminum 3/8" withdrawal fitting has 360° rotational capability for hook-up convenience.

Tank capacity: 40 gallons. Dimensions: 20.5"W x 26"L x 18.5"D.

Please note: Hydrocarbon swell causes tanks to expand by 3% in all directions. When measuring, please allow for this expansion as well as an extra 2-1/2" for fittings. Actual fill capacity can vary by +/- 5% of the printed capacity due to how the tank is installed in the boat and variances in the outside temperatures.

        I put a 40 gallon tank in my small boat for day use.Installed it in a seat box that I built above deck.Easy to check the level of fuel inside.
        However I ordered 2 more 40 gallon tanks for my other boat. 2 identical tanks came,1 was 40 gallons, 1 was 38 gallons.???????? what is it?

                    Yes, but it requires a return kit. Look on moeller's website for support information. I believe it is part number 035724-10.

                  I am looking for a poly tank to replace the OEM tank in my BlueWave center console boat. The tank is located(exposed) inside the console mounted of course to the floor. I need to get my diminsions but when I buy a tank like this, it seems to come with everything included to install it. Including the tank sensor. Will it work with an existing OEM digital gauge(which is part of a combined group of gauges in one)? Does it come with a gauge or will I need to match a fuel gauge to this particular sensor ?

                    A:

                    According to the tank manufacturer, if the gauge is set up for the industry standard it will receive and process the 33-240 ohm signal of the Moeller tank sending units. This is normally the case. Moeller also advises that they do sell Blue Wave at least some of their fuel tanks which are shipped with the standard swing arm sending units, the same as the Moeller permanent tanks sold by Overton's. Those particular tanks are from a proprietary tool owned by Blue Wave so they cannot sell them to anyone else. You would need to find something close from Overton's selection if that is the case.
