Comments about Megaware KeelGuard®, 10':
Have a 24' deck boat. Took me about 2 hrs total to put it on. Not that hard just need to be methodical. Has already saved the boat as evidenced by scrapes on the guard. Feel much better when I need to beach the boat.

Nothing needed to be done to the Gel Coat. Product is about 5"wide and will cover and waterproff the exposed hull. Juse follow the installation instructions and you will be very happy...Answered on 6/8/2011 by Carmine J. from Point Pleasant, NJVERIFIED BUYER
A:
Yes, absolutely it will cover the worn gelcoat and fiberglass because it is 5" wide. Nothing needs to be done with the gelcoat except follow the explicit directions about preparation in the installation instructions. The adhesive is so powerful it will completely seal the worn areas of the keel. Again, I stress proper preparation !!! P.S. I had the same exact problem and now it is in the past. Thank you Keel Guard...Answered on 6/12/2011 by Carmine the perfectionist. from Point Pleasant, NJ
