Q:Will this work in shallow water? We fish in five feet or less. Will it inter fear with other depth finders on board?Asked on 8/6/2014 by Bill from La.
A:Thank you for your question.
This will work in shallow water--and should work in less than 5ft. Please keep in mind that all sounders regardless of mfg often begin to read erratically in water under 5ft due to the sonar beams bouncing back at the unit so quickly. This unit may possibly interfere with other units onboard if they all use the same sonar frequency at the same time.Answered on 8/11/2014 by Anonymous
Q:is the transducer glued to the floor of the boat, or do you have to drill holes in the boat.
thanksAsked on 2/17/2011 by roddy from summerton,sc
A:Neither. This comes with a transom mounted transducer which can be installed under the waterline, on the outside back wall of the boat, or you can take the bracket off of the transducer and use epoxy to install the transducer inside the bilge area, making sure that there are no air bubbles under the transducer, and it will shoot through the hull.Answered on 2/22/2011 by Justin from Overton's
