Comments about Lowrance HDS-5 Gen2 Fishfinder/Chartplotter, Nautic Insight (50/200 kHz):
This seems to be a good unit when it works. Mine worked fine on the first 6 outings then the problems began. Factory assured it was a fluke however, there was an admitted glith in the software. I installed their software update that was supposed to fix the bug. Well, it didnt. I have sent original back and am waiting on the replacement. Hopefully the new unit runs fine but we will see. Time on the water is precious so to have a trip ruined because of the electronics is a bummer.
