Comments about Lowrance® Endura™ Safari:
When I purchased the Endura Safari I thought I was getting a GPS with better internal road mapping than my old Ifinder H2O, I was wrong. Also, I purchased the Lakemaster Pro lake map chip and had considerable difficulty in getting that working. Once it was working I had no complaints. However, I did not realize how easily the map data could be lost when installing other imagery. I got no support from Lowrance, had trouble even finding there phone number.

Comments about Lowrance® Endura™ Safari:
I received this unit as a gift. Had to purchase the map upgrade ($120) to get maps that were usable. 6 months after purchase the system crashed- screen went gray. Sent in and they told me they would replace but they repaired it and sent back- 8 months later same thing happened- screen went gray after start up. Called again- sorry it is out of warranty but we can repair it for $200. I will not purchase another Lowrance product

Comments about Lowrance® Endura™ Safari:
My boyfriend and I bought this system to use mainly for geocaching. It was pretty accurate, unless in a wooded area then it jumped around a lot. The touch screen was great, but it didn't have some features we found on another one. It also does not work with the geocache website, meaning you can't hit "send to GPS" you have to go in and save it, and by doing this you can't go in and look at the hints. It also is poor when it comes to multi cache, because you have to enter it in as a waypoint. Overall the sytem was easy to use, but lacked some features we were looking for.

Comments about Lowrance® Endura™ Safari:
I bought this device about 3 months ago, and intended on using it for fishing and hunting. I took 2 months for the navionics maps to come out for it, thenm another month for Lowrance to get there software right so we could use the maps. Well here is where it gets worse, the new 2010 maps only show up as a secondary screen, it's just a picture of the map, not usable for waypoints, or plotting. If you want to save a fishing hole, you have to go back to the plain map that comes with it, and mark it. Nothing like waiting for that. I contacted Lowrance, and was told it is a " Work in progress". Well they can keep it, thank god they let me return it, and get my money back.
