These bobber stops work great. Make sure you wet the knot before tightening the knot. Also make sure you have the knot tight enough before clipping the tag ends. The way you can tell is to try to slide the knot up and down your line; it should move with resistance and not slide easily. Then all you do is adjust to the depth you want by moving the knot accordingly. If you are new to using a slip bobber, go online and you will find some great videos on how to use. Once you use a slip bobber, it will become your favorite. There are many brands; I personally prefer the Thill brand, for the high quality. They work equally well for fresh or saltwater fishing.
