I have one of these lights on my personal PFD at work.I fully intend to never use it but it is better to have it and to not need it than to need it and not have it.

I place them on each of my life vest. Also use them to mark the center of my tow line. Would highly recommend putting one on your deck mate pets. Absolutely fantastic, tiny little strobe light can be used for multiple purposes.
