    I fish a variety of lures with this reel. I can easily throw heavy lures or light lures pretty far. I was worried about backlash when I first used the reel but I don't even think about it anymore. You have to make minor adjustments when you change lure weights. But you have to do that with any baitcast reel! I love this reel and am thinking of getting another one. It is well worth the money!!

          These reels are simply the best over all reels I have ever used. The bang for buck is through the roof with the Tournament MG's I own 2 of them both in the 5:1 gear ratio for tossing crankbaits. They are very smooth long casting reels and I use the heck out of them. I have 2 seasons of tossing DT16's & XD6's let me tell you they preform flawlessly.
