This carrier is perfect for large items that take up precious room inside your SUV. It's great for hauling large coolers, full-size grills, etc. The ability to fold it up close to the vehicle when not in use is fantastic! It also has plenty of well placed holes for tie downs to hook onto. Great product!

First, the instructions are almost impossible to understand, with no mention of how the folding mechanism works or assembles. It also states in the instructions that the clevis and locking pin are not included, but they were in the package. Also, the Chinese like to spell foldable two ways on the package front, with the last one being "foldabe"! The folding mechanism is extremely wobbly, so I took out the clevis pin and put in an aircraft bolt and some spacer washers to take up most of the free play. Then the clevis pin that is supposed to lock the unit in the up position won't work as the holes do not align. Seems they like to make up for manufacturing tolerances by making the holes much larger than the pins that will go in them. I just used a smaller diameter aircraft grade bolt. Kind of makes for a "bobble head" type carrier! In spite of all that, the unit is O.K. for the price I paid, and with some modifications I could make it be acceptable. I don't think it will hold 500 lbs.

Comments about Larin Rear Cargo Carrier:
I needed to add support brackets to stabilize the rack. The pins do not fit the holes well. Too small and allow for a lot of play in the rack

Comments about Larin Rear Cargo Carrier:
The pins wouldnt fit in the receiver holes designated for up and down lock positions. I assembled this unit myself on a level 4x8 work bench using hand tools. I assembled completely before tightening down any nuts. I took care in not bending metal. This unit still wasn't square and it was off in every possible way. It leaned down, canted so the rear of the basket was lower than the front that faced the vehicle. It also tilted to the driver's side.
Very low quality.
I did like the ease of assembly. The bolts fit into the square slots and do not rotate as I'm securing the nut on the
