People who complained about the instructions must not had been a guy because if you are a guy you don't need instructions. So give them a pitch and just start to line up the parts and go by the picture on the box and your done in 30 minutes. Every thing lined up perfect just don't tighten up the bolts until you HAVE everything connected and then go to town. If you ever put a kids bike together this thing is a breeze to do.

Out of the box, ready to go. Minimal assembly. Kids and I had it on my car in a few minutes. Plenty of room for all three of them (not that I'd drive with them in it).

Carrier holds all of our lake gear: Tube, 2 sets of skis, 5 life jackets, tow ropes, cooler, and there's plenty of room left over. Great to have all that wet, lake stuff OUTSIDE the car!

It is fairly easy to assemble, although the instructions were worthless & the fit required a bit of bending to align bolt holes. It is solid enough to use as intended.

the fit of the moveable, locking pieces is not good and require forced bending and additional security methods, especially on cage, to be useful and secure. Instructions should be rewritten to be more user friendly.

This product came very handy to us for our second family camping trip! Our first trip we didn't have enough room and did not feel safe for as piled up as the back of the explorer was. Having this for the second trip made us feel safer for it held our bigger stuff! It was very easy to assemble in maybe 30 mins or less, and easy to attach to the hitch. Also with having this it did not have to be removed to open the hatch of our explorer either which was a major plus as well. All and all I was the second to buy this in my family and we are very please with this and look forward to many more trips using this.

We plan on using this carrier for family vacations as well as hunting trips. We felt this was the best option for a carrier with the cage enclosure, cargo net and vinyl cover, we could arrange whatever we need and not worry about it. Very nice construction and easy assembly.
