Q:I have a 1984 Imperial I/O. I want to mount this on the transom of the boat at the point just above where the transom is perpendicular to the water. At this point, the transom angles in slightly toward the bow. It is still part of the transom but angles in. Will it hold?Asked on 6/3/2009 by Eric from Ann Arbor, MI
A:I have the same boat 85 imperial i/o and was looking at this then went out to check mine. There should be wood on the actual top part of boat like where your light pole goes in. it is not an angle, it is the flat part right behind the jumper seats in the back. I think this is the best place to try it. that angle part you are talking about, at least on mine is only fiberglass. try and get it where there is wood.Answered on 6/26/2009 by jt from ohio
