Comments about Slide Anchor Large Box Anchor:
This is by far the best anchor available. I use it with a Danik hook and employ about 3 times the depth in line. I anchor my 23 ft boat 50 ft from the beach and run another line from the stern to the beach, it works perfect every time. Releasing the anchor is easy as well. I just bought a 3 passenger pwc and I'm getting the smaller box anchor for it. It's a great product that I highly recommend.

Comments about Slide Anchor Large Box Anchor:
I've tried this anchor at 3 different lakes with varied bottom environments. I even added a 6-foot anchor chain after it failed to work even though the manufacturer states it doesn't need one. The anchor flutes are too small to hold with even the slightest wind or current. The anchor drags along the bottom material (mud, sand, etc.) until you find the boat has moved from your original anchoring site. Neat idea, poor execution.

Q:
I have a 24 ft pontoon boat. What size box anchor would you recommend. The pontoon boat is located on Burt Lake in Northern Michigan. WE can have high winds and wave action on the lake. Will use the box anchor for overnight anchoring. Please advise..Asked on 5/12/2012 by Bob from Houston, Tx0 answers
