I have had a lot of boots during my lifetime but non as warm as these. I have owned Rockies(worst), Irish Setters, Sorels, and a bunch of different LaCross made boots and these Ice Kings are the warmest ever. They are comfortable as well. The only draw back is the size and weight. If you ice fish for 40 hours at a crack your feet might get a little tired from lugging around those beasts all weekend, but they will NEVER get cold. No other boot compares to these for ice fishing.

These boots are very warm, I have had these and before this I had LaCrosse Icemen, also a warm enough boot. The problem I have is these boots are made of cheap materials, mainly the rubber bottoms, my boots are just starting their second winter and I only were them ice fishing and the rubbers are already cracked on the side where the rubber lower bends as I walk. I had this same problem with the Icemen. Both pairs were made in China. I know guys with both these boots that are over 20 years old and with new liners are still reliable boots, no cracks. Since these boots went to China they are junk, don't waste your money unless you are only in extremely dry conditions, as once the crack they leak like a sieve.

Comments about LaCrosse Mens Ice King 400g 10" All Leather Winter Boot:

I live in rural Northern MN where winter temperatures can test both man and footwear. These boots allow me to spend time doing outdoor winter chores with warm feet. Am older now and my activity level is decreasing. Therefore I need boots that afford me comfort and additional warmth. The bulk of these boots make a bigger footprint in deep snow which makes it easier to follow my tracks back home. As a pack boot these boots are a tradition. Warm, dry happy feet.

I've personally owned LaCrosse Icemans and Ice Kings since the mid '80s. No other boot kept me warm and dry snowmobiling, ice fishing or hunting.Well worth the money. A little leather care for storage and they're ready for next year !

These boots last a long time and they have replacement liners which is a plus. I bought these boots for my husband because he wore out his other Ice Kings which he had for over 13 years.

Had these boots since January 1990 and it's now 2011. 21 years ago I spent the best [$] ever. I have just recently bought my first pair of replacement liners. If your icefishing get these boots you won't regret it at all. No need for heavy socks with these boots! ***Make sure you buy one size bigger than your normal shoe size.
