New for 2019, the Quantum Accurist S3 PT Baitcast Reel has a new design featuring the PT ACS 3.0 cast control system. Designed with the unique Flippin' Switch, the Accurist PT gives you the ability to place a lure precisely where you want it. It also sports a boat load of Performance Tuned features, from the sturdy, one-piece aluminum frame and zero-friction pinion design to the silky smooth ceramic carbon drag system.
One-Piece Aluminum Frame
A rigid, lightweight one-piece aluminum frame resists any torque from big fish. CNC machining of critical mounting locations for gears and bearings keeps the gear train in perfect alignment throughout the life of the reel.
Hot Sauce Lubrication
Every PT reel comes with proprietary PT Hot Sauce lubricants. Its formulated specifically for fishing reel applications to lower friction and increase the longevity of each reel.
PT Gear Design
PT Gears are manufactured to precise tolerances to yield world class smoothness. Durable high strength materials are used so the reel will handle heavy use for years to come without compromise.
Zero Friction Design
The pinion gear is held exactly in place by two ball bearings so there is no contact with the spool shaft during casting, thus eliminating any friction. With a properly adjusted ACS system, casts are freakishly long.
Continuous Anti-Reverse
A precision stainless steel clutch bearing is designed to withstand bone jarring hook sets without any backward spool movement.
Micro-Adjust ACS 3.0
Quantum’s patented Adjustable Centrifugal System allows you to dial in the exact amount of braking force without removing the side cover that's required on other reels. This allows you to make fine adjustments quickly as conditions change.
PT Speed Bearings
PT Bearings are built to exact design standards of performance specifications that can stand up to the abuse and stress from the most demanding anglers.
Flippin' Switch
When selected, the Flippin' Switch allows the angler to depress the thumb bar, make a short cast, and re-engage the reel without ever turning the handle, thus covering more water faster. Walleye fishermen will benefit from the feature for back-trolling, allowing the angler to release line and re-engage the reel with one hand while the other hand operates the motor.
Bayonet Side Cover
A convenient button located under the reel allows you to rotate and remove the side cover for spool access and maintenance.
Saltguard Protection
Multiple anodized, primer, and finish coatings create a sealed barrier of saltwater protection to ward off the effects of the ocean.
Ceramic Carbon Drag System
Patented multi drag disk design combines carbon and ceramic washers to perfectly balance smoothness with power. The carbon washers have the job of providing stopping power and good drag lockdown while the ceramic washers provide drag consistency and smoothness.
