With several sizes, models, and mounting options to choose from, Kasco De-Icers will accommodate almost every application and condition. Kasco De-Icers feature longer-life top and bottom ball bearings, highly efficient, low power consumption, flood oil lubrication for excellent heat dissipation, and superior dependability in saltwater or other corrosive environments. Each De-Icer includes two 20' mooring ropes for suspension below a deck or boat. 120V.

        How many feet is the power cord? Are there replacment cords/different lengths to choose from? I'm curious about this question for all the models that are offere.

          Kasco does offer different length power cords on these de-icers. They offer a 50ft and also a 100ft power cord and they are significantly more than the 25ft power cord. That is because many other companies stock this deicer w/ 25ft power cord so it is competitively priced to those companies. Other lengths are not stocked and therefore they are not competitively priced.

        This looks like a product I could really use! What is the recommened water depth for most efficient operation? It is not real clear how to set it up, does the entire de-icer stay submerged, or does it require the dock mount kit? I have a heavy boat lift that I need to go over a sea wall with & would like to mount this on the back of the lift and just leave it in the water. How would that work? Do I need a time & temp control box?

          There are no set rules for determining how many De-Icers are needed for a given area or which mounting option is best.
