You could use this knife for splitting camp wood, building a shelter, and making new trails. I found it cuts 1" caliber brush profficiently. I even use this knife for work on a tree nursery.

My 2 boys wear their Ka-Bars on every hunt or outdoor trip and find all kinds of uses for them.
