The instructions do not show how to wire it without using a control panel. Do not waste your money by buying a control panel. Use your common sense.

Comments about Johnson Pumps Johnson Micro Automatic Float Switch:

Bought this switch as a identical replacement. The old one had been in the boat for who knows how long. Switch started to stick internally. I opened it up and found the roller ball had rusted which indicates at some time it leaked. Opening the case up was difficult, well sealed, and suspect the leak was where the leads enter the case. Suggest possibly adding a silicon sealant around the leads to extend the life of the switch. But for the price this may be over kill....

Comments about Johnson Pumps Johnson Micro Automatic Float Switch:

Although the regular bilge does do its job, you have to manually turn it on. The automatic switch does that job for you. Always a great backup to have on any boat.I installed mine on a stainless bracket that I bent to shape to mount on my boat for easy removal.

                      A:

No that is a totally different switch. This is used to turn on a water pump to pump out the water in the bilge. The float switch that you are refering to tell the gauge on your dash how much fuel is in the tank. 74917
