    are these typically installed on a below water thru hull, or is there some kind of draft tube? basically where does the water come from to fill?

      Hello Michigan,

      These pumps can be mounted just about any where. They can be mounted underneath seats, in the belly of the boat or near the engine compartment. It really comes down to your comfort level as to whether you want to permanently mount it or keep it mobile. If you want to permanently mount the pump, then you will need to decide whether you want to have your intake through the bottom of the boat or the transom (below the water line) or you can have a hose that you drop over the side of the boat to fill your bag.
