Comments about International Dock Products International Dock Wide-Step Flip-Up Dock Ladder, 4-Step:

It could have been a great ladder. Poorly finished. Too many sharp edges. Nothing a metal file couldn't take care of in 15 minutes. Installation more difficult that it had to be. Should have included a template for drilling holes on dock.

Comments about International Dock Products International Dock Wide-Step Flip-Up Dock Ladder, 4-Step:

The pin that locks the ladder in either up or down position is too short and flimsy. I need to use a bungee cord to ensure that the wind doesn't blow the ladder into the water while I'm away during the week.

we have a community dock and want to know how easy it detaches from a dock or is it a more permanent other than the lag bolts or carriage bolts that secure it to the dock

                A:

As it comes it is not a quick release it is more permenant. This particular ladder is not compatible with the quick release mounts but the stationary ladders and the lift ladders are compatible with the quick release mounts which allow you to remove the ladder for storage elsewhere.

                A:

Removing the ladder is as simple as loosening the four bolts that hold it in place -- a 5 minute job at most.

                A:

It all depends on how far down you want it to go in the water and how deep it is where you are mounting. I would say either the 3 or 4 step option will work for your location.
