          Very easy to install and very sturdy. I would recommend these ladders to anyone. Well worth the money to be able to pull them out of the water, preventing the rungs from getting slimy.

          1.replaced a wooden ladder lost during IKE
          2.previous 4 step not deep enough in water,will use at old boat launch where water is not as deep
          3.7 step make it easier for my kids & grand-kids to get out of 7/8 foot deep water
          4.like that it can be removed from water
          5.supply small cable clamp with purchase of ladder, tieing knot in cable not reliable,one side un-tied-about to loose ladder-son saw and put small cable clamp to secure better

                    A:

                    There is 12" in between each step. However many steps there are on the ladder that is also how many feet the ladder will hang below the dock. To specifically answer your question, item 74617 would hang 7 feet below the top of the dock because there are 7 steps 12 inches apart.
