High performance but 2x easier to ride

Comments about HO Sports HO Freeride Slalom Waterski With Double Basis Plates:

Base effort is a Connelly Pilot or a slalom of a combo set. Rider is an amateur who started slalom skiing at 13 behind a 25hp Whaler with an O'Brien Alpha Centauri. I'm in ok shape now, but don't last too many cuts behind the boat.
The HO Freeride is 2x less effort to ride and is very twitchy, otherwise known as maneuverable. The rear makes a humming sounds when cutting. Feels fairly planted after making a wake jump.
The Radar Satori is 4x less effort to ride, being longer, wide at the tail, and completely flat. Still fun to cut, just not as deep in the water as a Freeride. Get bigger air as well. Still can't ride it as long as wakeboard, but substantially less effort than normal skis.
If you want competition like performance, go with the HO Freeride. If you want to ride twice as long as the Freeride, and do bigger jumps, go with the Radar Satori.
If you or anyone has trouble getting up on these skis, get the V-bridle like Gladiator Slalom Trainer Ski Rope. You don't notice the V once you're up.

Comments about HO Sports HO Freeride Slalom Waterski With Double Basis Plates:

I had not waterskied in 18 years. I bought a boat now that I am well over 40 and the kids are old enough to enjoy water sports. Back in the day I was able to run the corse. I was not good, but I could make all the balls. This ski was a joyous welcome back to the sport. I was not looking for another Mach-1. I wanted a ski I could use on open water and just ski. It is perfect. Also great to teach newbies on. I do not think I can dip my elbows with this one, but at 48 I am not trying. Go have fun with this, you will not be disappointed. I have one for me and one for my wife(much shorter). She loves it also. I also just taught my 12 year old son with my wife's ski. He got up on the second pull and was able to get outside the wake both sides his first ride.

Comments about HO Sports HO Freeride Slalom Waterski With Double Basis Plates:

I have really tried to like this ski and there are days when I can make it work. It is incredibly sensitive to slightest shifts in weight and is exceptionally unforgiving. It requires the skier to be very smooth at all times. Reckless abandon is NOT rewarded.
