I have used many soft baits, and this minnow actually makes fish strike. I used an identical color bait to see, and they didn't pull the strikes this did. Fish hit it, and hold on!!!!! If they do spit it, even after fighting for a little, they will hit it again next cast!

    not hard enough

the GULP worms are to soft. when you cast they fly off. there's not semi hardness on the worm bodies at all to set your hook threw.

Comments about Berkley Gulp Sinking Minnow Soft Bait, 5", 10-Pack:

I use this bait for redfish. I have caught tons of them by casting this in rocks with a weighted hook. Very strong bait, I can catch about 5 redfish on the same bait before having to switch it. love chartreuse the best.

Works well wacky rigged with a 1/0 and larger hook. Best to use on negative days or when they are holding very tight to cover. Can also be dead sticked if needed. Black and purple work well for largemouths.

Comments about Berkley Gulp Sinking Minnow Soft Bait, 5", 10-Pack:

I had used these when I lived in Virginia on a recommendation to great success. I was catching bass no smaller than 4# and even worked on chain pickerel as well. Having moved to Kansas last September, I found a lake rumored to have a good bass population. Once I started using the minnows there, I was back to the same success. Last week, I caught a 22", 6,5# bass and this week landed a 21" 5#er. GREAT PRODUCT!!!
