I can across this jacket a few years ago on a sale rack. I've used it for hiking, fishing, hunting, general around the house use and emergency use on motorcycle rides; the jacket has not let me down!! I've stayed dry and confortable everytime worn during inclement weather.
When I noticed this jacket was on sale again, I picked one up for more casual/work attire.

This is a nice jacket but it is not true to the size indicated. I'm 6', 175 lbs, and usually take a large or XL depending upon the brand. I tried on a large and swam in it. The sleeve length had to be 37" or more as the sleeve came down to mid-fingers. I purchased a medium that fit Okay but the sleeve length was still too long. Normally I take a 34" sleeve which I feel is normal for a 6' person; but the sleeves were still too long - probably at least a 36" I would say. For a "medium" jacket the sleeves are way too long. This jacket seriously needs velcro tabs on the cuffs rather than the elastic-type. Finally, the color selection needs to be improved. The red is great as is the black. If you want to look like "Big Bird" buy the yellow. You'll certainly be noticed. The green jacket looks more suited for the ladies. My suggestion would be to have a navy blue, a deeper forest green, or a rust colored jacket in addition to the red and black. Again it's a nice jacket that could be a great jacket if some changes were made to it.

Comments about Guide Series Mens Thundercloud II Rain Jacket:

Purchased for my husband. He likes it because it's light weight. The wrist area doesn't require any work. Zippered pockets. I bought same brand in women's size for myself. Good for warmer weather as it is unlined. Hood provides good protection from rain. Good length on both men's & womens. Hoping it goes on sale again soon, need Father's day gifts!

Comments about Guide Series Mens Thundercloud II Rain Jacket:

Very nice jacket. Quality made, soft fabric, breathable and non-sticking (has mesh liner). Budget price, but in no way "cheap". Has own bag.
            Serves the purpose well.

Wish it had chest and inner pockets, but I understand it's a "budget" jacket.
