Comments about Guide Series Classic Spinning Rod, 70", Medium, 1 pc.:

Great rod! I was looking for a longer rod that wasn't too tip heavy and wasn't too stiff. This rod fits the bill perfectly. I paired it up with a pflueger supreme and 15lb braid. Casts a mile! I have caught quite a few bass on this rod this season. Some came with so many weeds I could barely see the fish. This rod handled the extra weight beautifully. Liked it so much I bought the 5' UL and have been slaying the crappie and bluegil on that as well.

Comments about Guide Series Classic Spinning Rod, 70", Medium, 1 pc.:

I purchased this rod thinking I would purchase a St. Croix because the G. Loomis I wanted was too expensive. I was in the store and walked by the spinning rods and there in front of were G. Loomis rods. But they did not have a brand name G. Loomis on them. I only found the Gander Mtn. Logo on the Butt of the Rod. For [$] you can not beat this rod. The design on this rod is unique to Gander Mtn. Thus it technically does not compete directloy with G. Loomis. Loomis was purchased by Shimanno in 2007 so now Shimanno, Gander Mtn. and Loomis rods are pruduced by the same rod manufactures. This rod is perfectly matched with with a Shimanno Stradic CI4-4000f reel and 20lb Yo-zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft line and of course Kevin VanDams Line and Lure Conditioner. This combination is light and casts like a dream. Rod is strong enough for a 20 lb Salmon or Rainbow. I would even give 30 pounders a go with this rig. Congratulations Gander Mtn.

Comments about Guide Series Classic Spinning Rod, 70", Medium, 1 pc.:

Poor quality. Reel seat is too tight and small to hold most reels. Guide alignment is poor with the guide closest to the reel having too much off-set, creating line twist. Would not purchase again and wish i had returned it as it is pretty useless.
