Comments about Guide Series Classic Spinning Rod, 66", Med. Light, 1 pc.:

I could not be happier with the performance of this rod. Slick guides for smooth a cast, strong and predictable landing; nice Fuji reel seat and cork grip. A beginner might be suited with a more sensitive rod but it yields to a fast learning curve. Walleye, bass, crappie, even pulled sunnies and floated flies with this thing! It's either the "ringer" of my rod collection or I'm having a helluva season. Throw in a reasonable price, warranty, and replacement plan from Gander to boot - its hard to beat.

In the spring, I cast from shore for walleye and northern pike. In the summer and early fall, I fish out of a boat for walleye, northern pike, and pan fish. This rod is sensitive enough for panfish and walleye and has enough backbone for pike in the 8-10 # range.

This was a replacement after slamming the tip of my favorite walleye rod in the car door. I'd caught thousands of walleye's over past 4-5 years. It made me want to cry. This was a direct replacement and probably the best value out there. I couldn't be happier with it.
